Clinical Services
- Tooth Filling - it is a way to restore a tooth damaged by decay back to its normal function and shape. When a dentist gives you a filling, he or she first removes the decayed tooth mateials, cleans the affected area, and then fills the cleaned out cavity with a filling.
- Tooth Extraction – An extraction means to have a tooth removed, usually because of disease, trauma or crowding. If you need an extraction, your dentist will first numb the area to lessen any discomfort. After the extraction, your dentist will advise you of what psot extraction regimen to follow.
- Oral Prophylaxis – is a cleaning procedure performed to thoroughly clean the teeth. Prophylaxis is an important treatment for halting the progression of periodontal disease and gingivitis.
- Odontectomy (Impaction) – it is a procedure wherein the dentist will remove the tooth by separating and opening the gums, sometimes there is the necessity to remove bone arounf the tooth. This is especially common to third molar teeth due to the fact that most of the third molars are impacted (embedded under the jaw bone)
- Tissue Excision – is a surgical procedure to obatin tissue from the patient’s oral cavity, for microscopic examination, usually to perform a diagnosis. An Oral biopsyu can be performed for several reasons like onflammatory changes in the oral cavity of unknown cause that persist for long periods: an oral lesions interferes with proper oral function: for bone lesions that are not specifically identified by clinical examination and x-rays or any oral lesions that has characteristic of malignancy.
- Gingivectomy Or Gingivoplasty – is surgical removal of gum tissue, or gingiva. Gingivectomy can be used to treat conditions like gingivitis. Its also used to removed extra gum tissue for cosmetic reasons, such as a to modify a smile.
- Operculectomy – An operculectomy is a minor surgical procedure performed to remove the operculum, the flap of soft tissue that surrounds and covers a partially erupted tooth, especially a wisdom tooth. This procedure is done to treat pericoronitis, a condition characterised by pain and inflammation of the operculum.
- Dental Health Education – process of imparting information about the dental health which helps an individual to keep the oral cavity healthy as good oral hygiene helps a person to prevent oral disease such as periodontal disease, bad breath and other dental problems.
